I love your blogs, Ella, keep ’em coming. EMdrive, if it works, obviously doesn’t violate the laws of physics — but it may violate our current understanding of physics, which means our current understanding would be wrong. In this case, it seems clear to me and a growing number of others that there is in fact a background field that used to be called the ether, which would be the source of thrust. So it’s not a violation of Newton’s Third Law if there is indeed such a background. Many other lines of evidence also suggest such a background.
