Thanks Chuck! QALY analysis is indeed justified but we decided to not go to that level of granularity b/c simply going from excess deaths (very crude) to YLL (more granular) is a great step forward and highlights already the big difference between direct impacts from the virus vs. other impacts like increased overdose deaths, homicides, etc.
